Insurrection

In a Shadowed land, where only darkness exists, Queen Kristin Weaves her web, within the mists.
A gift from Tore, corrupted by the night,A tainted mark to drown the light.
But one alone won’t serve her right, She yearns for ten to claim the night.
Her loyal thralls obey her call, While rebels rise to break her wall.
The fate of realms, both dark and light, Now rests on you – Choose wrong or right.

How to play?

In Insurrection, you play the role of a Rebel chief willing to dismiss the tyrannical Queen Kristin. On the road to Kristin’s fortress, you’ll be recruiting troops to build the best possible army (best hand of cards). But the terrible Queen has spread Corruption throughout the population. If the Insurrection reaches Kristin’s dark castle, the Good side wins. However, if 10 marks of Corruption are simultaneously found among the people currently on the table, the Evil side wins.
Your goal is to build the best possible army, depending on the outcome of the game (Some cards will grant more point when the Good side wins, other cards will be more efficient when Evil side wins).

During each turn, the Insurrection advances along the path leading to the black castle (terrain cards). Players draw, and new people cards are added to the common pool in the center of the table. Then, each player secretly chooses a card from his or her hand, and everyone reveals simultaneously. Each player in turn order (determined by the initiative value of their played card) exchanges their card with a card in the common pool. That’s how you’ll build up the best possible hand of cards, trying to win for Good or Evil depending on your strategy and the cards you choose to add to the center of the table.

Powerful leaders with unique scorings and mechanics will also be distributed at the start of each game. This further expands the choice of possible strategies.

Alternative terrain cards with surprising effects can potentially change the dynamics of each turn. It’s up to you to adapt and make the most of them for your strategy. This also increases replayability!

Which powerful Combos will you want to try out? Will you be a savior of Good or a defender of Evil? Let’s try during your many Insurrection games! (Yes, the short, dynamic games and varied scoring combinations can be a little addictive ^^ You’ve been warned 🙂 )
